Our Story

Welcome to Heron’s Llŷn Farm!

Heron’s Llŷn Farm is a micro farm in the beautiful Champlain Valley in Addison Co., Vermont. Here we specialize in local sheep specific wool, hand dyed yarns and creating an integrated farming system that is both beneficial to our animals and native pollinators.

I have a MS in Wildlife Conservation and Management as well as experience working on farms, ranches and stables in the north east, mid-Atlantic and out west. I also have many years of experience in the natural resources field, in many different roles, including as a park ranger, native plants specialist, forestry tech and hiking guide. I am also a beekeeper, and have worked in commercial bee yards as well as managing my own hives.

I’ve had my current flock of sheep for about four years. Ive chosen to do a mixed breed flock with Perendale, Coopworth and Romney forming the base of the flock. I am adding in some Gotland genetics this fall to add some lovely color into the mix. I do have years of experience processing wool, spinning, dying and knitting. I offer classes and individual instruction on these subjects!

Thank you for stopping by.
